How we got here
Built on the jobs other crews rushed
Jeremy started Knight's after years of seeing the same thing on property after
property: work that looked fine on the day it was finished and fell apart by the
second season. Beds cut in without edging. Patios laid on a base that was never
going to hold. Crews that came, went, and never picked up the phone again.
He figured the fix wasn't complicated. Show up when you said you would. Prep the
work properly, even the parts nobody sees. Charge a fair number and stand behind
it. Amanda came in to run the financial side and ended up in the field too, which
is how a lot of small family businesses actually go.
Today Knight's handles everything from weekly mowing to full hardscape builds
across Blue Springs and the greater Kansas City metro. The company is deliberately
small. Growing means taking on crews we'd have to supervise instead of properties
we can stand behind, and that trade has never looked worth it.
“If I wouldn't want it in my own yard, it's not leaving your property.”
